  1. Shoulderboards & -straps (singles)

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely found! - example of a WH (Heeres), early-war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or rounded-style) neatly 'cyphered', EM-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Kavallerie o. Reiter-Regiments 15' (or: simple cavalry soldier who served within the cavalry-regiment, numbered: '15') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. moderately used- ie. worn- and/or carefully 'cut-off'-), condition. The neat strap - which has the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdeck' - show the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour - (and/or woolen-type-) piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 9,6 cms. in length and never had a tongue attached: it was clearly used as a strap of the 'sew-in'-pattern and comes in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition, overall. The strap shows the neat machine-embroidered (by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') '1'- and/or '5'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') which are executed in the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured wool as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap - which is of the 'standard-issued' pattern - shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern 'Kavallerie'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'scarce'. In any case a very attractive and/or: early-war-period, 'Heeres-Kavallerie'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Kavallerie o. Reiter-Regiments 15': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
