This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - (I deem) pre- ie. early-war-period- (ie. 'M36/M40'-type) neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstrap as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 72' (or: sergeant who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '72') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat strap - which is of the early- ie. pre-war- and - I deem - 'privately-purchased' type - just shows some moderate age and wear but is void of any real damage or alike: it has the darker-green-coloured- and/or (boiled) woolen-based 'upperdeck' and does show as stated above the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or 'rayon'-type piping attached (as more often seen). The shoulderstrap comes without tongue and was most certainly used as a strap of the 'sew-in'-type. The strap - which measures approximately 11 cms. in length - shows the (typical, early-pattern) silver-toned NCO-braid attached and shows a pair of (larger-sized- and/or 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: '7'- and '2'-cyphers ie. numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and (equally-styled) pip period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat - and/or fully 'text-book'! - 'Heeres'-type, 'cyphered' NCO-shoulderstrap that belonged to a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 72': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
