This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - (I deem) early-war-period- (ie. 'M40 type'- and/or rounded-styled) neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) NCO-type shoulderstrap as piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 37' (or: junior-sergeant who served within the infantry-regiment, numbered: '37') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn and/or carefully tunic-removed- ie. 'cut-off'-), condition. The neat strap - which is of the early-war-type - just shows some moderate age and wear but is void of any real damage or alike: it has the darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'upperdeck' and does show as stated above the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or woolen-type piping attached (as more often seen). The shoulderstrap comes without a tongue: it was worn as a piece of the 'sew-in'-pattern and was carefully 'cut-off'). The strap - which measures approximately 11,7 cms. in length - shows the (typical early-pattern, 'dotted'-type) silver-toned NCO-braid attached and shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'-): '3'- and '7'-cyphers ie. numerals (which are executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured wool as to be expected as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a neat and/or fully 'text-book' and actually not that often encountered! - 'Heeres'-type, 'cyphered' NCO-shoulderstrap that belonged to an: 'Unteroffizier des Infanterie-Regiments 37': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
