This is a very attractive - and truly detailed! - example of a: 'Freikorps'-related award being a neatly enamelled so-called: 'Deutsches Feldehrenzeichen' that is nicely engraved on its back with the text: 'Deutsches Feldehrenzeichen - Hamburg 11' and that is bearing a: 'Ges.Gesch. '-patent-pending marking and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or most certainly worn-), condition. This award is sometimes found amongst German WWI-award-groupings but was - I deem - never worn during the WWII-period. This is a very detailed - and I deem fairly expensively-produced - metal-based- and/or neatly enameled pin-back-version that is executed in the neat, silvered metal (I deem silvered 'Buntmetall'): moreover, does it show a white-enamelled surface (that is totally void of any enamel-damage) and golden-toned swords. The badge which is neatly engraved as stated above also bears a: 'Ges.Gesch.'-patent-pending mark as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was never cleaned and shows normal wear and/or age: it is somewhat tarnished and dirty and comes - of course - mounted onto its functional and/or non-altered pin- ie. pin/catch set-up. The overall detail on this 'Freikorps'-related badge is very nice and pronounced: the silver-finish shows some wear and/or age as stated above: simply caused by normal usage. Simply a very nice - and actually not that often encountered! - 'Freikorps'-related breast-badge that is with certainty accordingly priced!
