This is a very attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - two-pieced, 'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen'-grouping (comprising of a: 'RAD-Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' and accompanying citation) as was awarded to the: 'Arbeitsmann' Georg Seiler who served for a six-month-period (in 1936) within the: 'Arbeitsgau XXX' (= Bayern-Hochland - Ostmark) both pieces coming in an overall very nicely preserved- and/or fully undamaged, condition. The A5-sized citation - that shows a detailed illustration of the 'RAD-Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' is dated 22 March 1936: it is neatly filled-in (by means of a machine) and is clearly signed by an: 'RAD-Oberarbeitsführer' : it was once hole-punched but this is (period)restored (as can be seen on the pictures). The nicely enamelled: 'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen o. Abzeichen des Arbeitsgaues XXX' comes in an overall very nicely preserved- and fully undamaged, condition. The metal badge (executed in colourfull enamel on a copper-based background as to be expected) depicts the famous Edelweiss-flower and comes mounted onto its functional pin-/pin-catch set-up. The piece is totally void of a makers'-designation nor 'Ges.Gesch.'-patent-pending-marking (as can be seen on the pictures). A similar badge is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken lapel-pin-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (3805JL) and an estimated value of: 180 Eu. The badge on offer here was I deem never cleaned nor polished: it still retains a very nice- and/or minimally tarnished age-patina and is totally void of any enamel-damage. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty not that often encountered! - (semi-official) RAD-'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen'-grouping that is priced according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
