This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely seen! - so-called: 'FAD'- (ie. 'Freiwilligen-Arbeitsdienst'-related-) officers'-pattern shoulderboard (ie. 'Schulterstück') as was intended for - and used by - a: 'FAD-Feldmeister' (ie. lieutnant first-class) and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. I deem moderately used- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which measures 12,7 cms. in length and which is of the type that was used on the various FAD-tunics around 1934/35 - does show some minimal and/or age but is void of any damage or alike: it is constructed from the (typical) black-coloured-, velvet-type wool and shows a silverish-black-striped 'upperdeck' having to horizontally mounted loops attached (all constructed from silverish/black-coloured braid as to be expected). The board comes without tongue and was with certainty intended to be used as a piece of the so-called: 'sew-in-type'. I came with a typical 'FAD'-type tunic-button attached. Simply an attractive, 'FAD'- (ie. 'Freiwilligen-Arbeitsdienst'-) related, officers'-pattern shoulderboard that was intended for - and used by - a: 'FAD-Feldmeister': too bad that it is only a single example!
