This is a truly attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless very rarely encountered! - WH (Heeres) 'tropical' ie. IMO early-war-period- and truly DAK- (or 'Deutsches Afrikakorps'-) related, enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap, as was piped in the neat bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelbener'-) coloured branchcolour, as was intended for - and with certainty worn by! - a: 'Soldat der Nachrichten-Truppen' (or simple soldier who served within an army signals-regiment- ie. unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. slightly worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap - which measures approximately 10 cms. in length - has the bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelbener'-) coloured and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached and comes mounted on its functional tongue as issued and/or most certainly worn. The strap is in a fully 'text-book' condition and has a somewhat greenish- ie. yellowish-coloured and/or linnen-based 'upperdeck' as to be expected. The strap is, moreover, 'backed' with brownish-coloured wool, something that is more often encountered with (early-type!) genuine tropical- ie. DAK- (or 'Deutsches Afrikakorps'-) related shoulderstraps. The strap is IMO only minimally worn (it is just somewhat faded ie. slightly stained caused by regular usage) and is in a truly great condition overall. It has never been cleaned and still shows some dirt ie. staining as caused by years of storage. As most certainly known are most DAK-shoulderboards offered on todays' market regretttably copies: this is naturally a fine and 100% genuine, period piece for which I give a life-time garuantee (as always). Simply a superb - and as most certainly known very rarely encountered! - early, tropical-pattern, 'Nachrichten'-related EM-type shoulderstrap: too bad that it is only a single piece!
