Four-pieced insignia-grouping comprising of a (matching) pair of 'cyphered'-, officers-type shoulderboards and dito collar-tabs as intended for a WH (Heeres) 'Heeresfeldpostinspektor' (being of a rank comparable with an: 'Oberleutnant'-rank)

This is a truly very attractive - and with certainty rarely encountered! - four-pieced insignia-grouping comprising of a (matching) pair of specific 'cyphered', officers-type shoulderboards (ie. 'Schulterstücke') and dito collartabs (ie. 'Kragenspiegel') as was intended for - and clearly used by! - a WH (Heeres) 'Heeresfeldpostinspektor' (being of a rank comparable with an: 'Oberleutnant'-rank) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit worn- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The boards - which have an approximate length of 11,3 cms. - are executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or (typical) darker-green-coloured wool (aka moleskin'-wool). They have the have the neat (bright- ie. lemon-yellow- or: 'zitronengelber'-coloured-) branchcolour and typical silver-greyish-coloured 'upperdecks' (showing an (interwoven) equally bright-yellow-coloured 'stripe' something that was obligatory for all shoulderboards as worn and/or used by the various 'Feldpost'-service-officials). The boards - which were worn on the 'standard'-type, field-grey-coloured 'Heeres'-tunics - have identical, bright-golden-coloured (ie. I deem 'Buntmetall'-based) 'FP'-cyphers and two (equally bright-golden-coloured) pips, period-attached. The pair comes mounted onto its functional, typically thin-shaped officers'-type tongues attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair was - I deem - only minimally used and shows as stated above only moderate wear and/or age. The shoulderboard-pair came with a (also matching) pair of neatly hand-embroidered, officers-type 'Feldpost'-collartabs (ie. 'Kragenspiegel'). These have the (bright- ie. lemon-yellow- or: 'zitronengelber'-coloured) branchcolour and are also 'piped' with this 'zitronengelber'-coloured (and rayon-based) branchcolour (as per regulation). This rarely seen insignia-grouping originates from a larger shoulderboard- and/or insignia-collection I recently acquired and was most certainly worn as such: the field-post official who wore the set always kept it as a souvenir. Simply a very attractive - and actually rarely encountered! - set of 'Fieldpost'-insignia: x-time more rarer encountered than a 'regular' pair of WH 'Oberleutnant'-related insignia!
