This is an attractive - and actually rarely encountered! - period portrait picture-postcard depicting a WH (Heeres) 'Feldwebel des Artillerie-Regiments 122' ( part of the: 'Infanterie-Division 122' "Greif") proudly wearing his army-tunic with (rarely seen!) "Greif"-'Traditions-Abzeichen' attached and that comes in an overall nice condition. The picture shows a young artillery-sergeant ('Feldwebel') wearing a standard-pattern, so-called: 'M36'-pattern tunic (having all proper insignia attached) and (nicely formed!) visor-cap (ie. 'Schirmmütze'). Of specific interest is naturally the presence of the so-called: "Greif"- 'Traditions-Abzeichen' being worn (see pictures). The neat picture - sized: 14 x 9 cms. - is very sharp in execution and shows nice pronounced detail. The back of the portrait is void of any writing nor date but does show an ink-stamp of a German-based photographers'-shop. Simply a very attractive - and possibly unique! - 'Infanterie-Division 122' "Greif"-related portrait-picture!
