This is a neat - and actually fairly scarcely encountered! - example of a 'membership-brooch' as was intended for usage by a female member within the: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend' (or RADwJ), being a so-called: 'Brosche für Kriegshilfsdienst' (or voluntary war-service), in overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-) condition. The badge - which has an approximate width of 4 cms. - shows a swastika-sign with below two corn-leaves showing a banner with the text: 'RADwJ'. The piece - which is executed in zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') - is a tiny bit dirty but was most certainly never cleaned ie. polished: it is still a bit dirty ie. dusty. The lapel-pin shows some regular wear and age but has no damage whatsoever. The pin - which has a functional pin-/catch set-up - is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken lapel-pin catalogue, where it is given a unique number (3802R) and given an estimated value of 65 Eu. The example on offer here originates from a German flea-market. Simply a nice and decorative, IMO mid-war-period female-related TR lapel-pin that is IMO accordingly priced!
