Single, early-period (ie. 'M40-pattern and/or rounded-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', EM-type shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Pionier-Lehr-Rgts. 2'

This is a truly attractive - very desirable albeit regrettably single but nevertheless truly rarely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M40-pattern and/or rounded-styled and black- ie. 'schwarzer'-piped) WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', enlisted mens'-type shoulderstrap as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Pionier-Lehr-Regiments 2' (or: simple army-engineer-soldier who served within a specific 'Pioniere' training- ie. schooling-unit, numbered: '2') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool as to be expected - has the neat black- ie. 'schwarzer'-coloured and/or woolen-type piping attached. The strap measures approximately 10,2 cms. in length and comes mounted onto its original (albeit I deem period re-attached) tongue. It shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'), Gothic-styled: 'L'-cypher (or: 'Ziffer') and dito '2'-numeral attached (which are executed in the black- ie. 'schwarzer'-coloured - and white-piped! - wool ie. linnen as to be expected). The strap - which is of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern - shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). This particular example originated from a small but wonderful collection of rarely seen 'cyphered' shoulderstraps I recently acquired for the web-site. It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern, 'Pioniere-Lehr'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare' and come not that often for sale. In any case a very attractive and early-war-period, 'Heeres-Pioniere-Lehr'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied des Pionier-Lehr-Regiments: too bad that it is only a single specimen!
