WH (Heeres), 'M41-pattern', tropical-issued field-cap (ie.: 'Tropen-Einheitsfeldmütze') being an (approx.) 57-cms.-sized example that is neatly maker- (ie. 'RbN. nr.'-) marked and that comes in a moderately worn- ie. used, condition

This is an attractive - and just moderately used- ie. worn! - example of a WH (Heeres), 'M41-pattern', tropical-issued field-cap (ie.: 'Tropen-Einheitsfeldmütze') being a an (approx.) 57-cms.-sized example that shows a (vaguely but surely present) makers'-designation (ie. 'RbN'-numeral that in my opinion reads: '0/0842/0013') and that comes in a clearly- ie. just moderately worn- and/or used, condition. The field-cap - which is executed in 'regular'-type, greenish-tan-coloured linnen - has no damages whatsoever: it was most certainly once washed or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The (I deem) mid-war-period field-cap is regular-sized and measures approximately 57 cms. (which is a size that would normally still fit a mannequins'-head) and shows a tan-coloured- (ie. tropical-issued, 'BeVo'-woven) cap-eagle and dito cocarde, period-attached. Both insignia-pieces are executed in the 'BeVo'-weave pattern as to be expected. The cocarde is cap-attached by means of a machine whereas the eagle is hand-sewn (as more often). The cap - which has its four undamaged, field-grey-coloured- and/or zinc-based rivets firmly in place - shows a neat bright-red-coloured- and/or linnen-based lining (which is standard for these caps). Moreover, does it show the articfical-leather (ie. also linnen-based) 'sweatband' installed (which is more often seen on these caps). The cap shows only moderate wear, age and/or staining but comes in a fully untouched and totally undamaged condition. According to the (fantastic and VERY comprehensive!) reference-work: 'The Afrikamütze Database' (by Mr. Mike Seager Thomas) is this particular cap produced by one of the more rarely encountered makers. I warmly recommend to read and/or download this study (which can be found and down-loaded for free under the web-address: https://www.researchgate.net). Simply an attractive - and naturally genuine! - example of an actually scarcely encountered tropical-issued 'M41-pattern'-field-cap that will be hard to be upgraded and that is I deem accordingly priced!
