Pair of officers-type shoulderstraps: 'Sicherheitsdienst'- (ie. 'SD'-) related so-called: 'Schützmannschaften'
This is a very attractive - and actually very rarely encountered! - pair of officers-type shoulderstraps as was (I deem) specifically intended for usage by a commissioned-member (ie. officer) who served within the notorious 'Sicherheitsdienst'- (ie. 'SD'-) related so-called: 'Schützmannschaften' (ie. 'Schuma') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem only minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The 'pointed-styled' straps - which measure approximately 12,2 cms. in length each - have the field-grey-coloured- and 'smooth-woolen'-based 'upperdecks' and do show the (neatly machine-embroidered) diamond-shaped swastika-signs (as executed in greyish-toned linnen as can be seen on the pictures). The neat pair comes mounted onto its functional tongues and does show the silver-toned, twisted 'braid-based'-type piping attached (as always with these Schuma officers-type straps). The pair shows the field-grey-coloured- (ie. 'Waffen-SS'- ie.: 'Polizei'-related!) 'upperdecks' and as such signified the close interrelation between the - notorious! - 'Schuma'-units and the German police (ie. 'Polizei') ie. Waffen-SS and/or SD-units. The pair is in my opinion only minimally used and does show some minimal age, wear and/or staining. These notorious 'Schützmannschaften' (ie. 'Schuma') were staffed with men entirely coming from the Baltic states and had a very bad reputation. This particular pair originated from the famous Dave Delich collection. In any case is this a sound opportunity to acquire a very rarely encountered pair of just minimally used, SD-related officers-type shoulderstraps: only the first such rare pair I ever had on offer!
