Attractive example of a Spanish-issued, campaign-medal of the Spanish Blue Division in Russia called: 'Medalla Conmemorativa Division Azul - Medalla de Tropa 1941' that comes mounted on its period ribbon as issued and/or worn
The neat - multi-coloured and/or typical Spanish-produced - campaign-medal retains all of its somewhat darkened, silver-toned finish and retains a very detailed and/or pronounced appearance: it is just a bit dirty and/or tarnished simply caused by decades of storage and/or mimimal wear. The front of the medal shows a (black-enamelled) iron-cross with swastika as to be expected. The back shows some Russian scenery and the text and/or date: 'Rusia 1941'. The medal - which was I deem clearly issued ie. worn - comes mounted onto its original piece of confectioned and/or folded ribbon (which measures in total 16 cms. as can be seen on the pictures). This is the (one-pieced) version made-out of (typical) silvered metal as was specifically intended for usage by enlisted-men and/or NCOs (the officers-version was more luxuriously styled and came as a three-pieced version). These medals were produced (since 1943) by the Spanish-based company named: 'Díez y Compañía SA' as was based in the town of Madrid. Simply a nice opportunity to aquire an attracttive example of the Spanish-issued commemorative- (ie. campaign-)medal as was intended for usage by the troops of the 'Blue-Division'!
