The attractive - fully matching and with certainty quite scarcely found! - neatly 'cyphered' and I deem typically 'privately-purchased', WH (Heeres) NCO-type (and 'Infanterie'-related!) shoulderstrap-pair is (I deem) of the early-war-period- (ie. 'M40'-) pattern and does show some obvious age, wear and/or minimal staining. The straps have the darker-green-coloured- and/or (smooth)woolen-based 'upperdecks' and do show the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or typical 'rayon'-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The shoulderstraps come mounted onto their functional tongues attached and was with certainty a pair that was used onto a 'front-type'-tunic. The straps - which measure approximately 9,8 cms. in length each and that show the 'standard-issue'- (ie. early 'dotted'-styled and/or non-sub-dued-) pattern NCO-braid attached - were used by an NCO holding the rank of an: 'Unterfeldwebel' (ie. junior-NCO or sergeant) who was attached to a specific: 'Maschinengewehr-Abteilung', numbered: '7' (being a specific army- ie. infantry-related, machine-gunners unit). The straps show a neat (bright)silver-toned pair of (Gothic-styled, larger-sized and/or aluminium-based) so-called: 'M'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of (regular-sized and equally-styled) '7'-numerals, period-attached. It should be noted that ALL NCO-pattern, 'Maschinengewehr'-related shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce' (even more so when they are neatly 'cyphered' as this pair on offer here). This pair originates from an older shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply, a neat early-war-period, NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unterfeldwebel des Maschinengewehr-Abteilungs 7' and that is I deem with certainty accordingly priced!
