WH (LW) 'Fliegerschützen-Abzeichen mit Blitzbündel' being a maker- (ie. 'Wilh. Deumer'-) marked- and/or: typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example as was produced by the: 'Wilh. Deumer'-company that comes stored in its period etui
This is a truly attractive - complete, fully untouched and I deem just moderately used- and/or worn! - example of a: WH (Luftwaffe) 'Fliegerschützen-Abzeichen mit Blitzbündel' (or: Luftwaffe airgunners-war-badge with lightning-bolts) being a neatly (albeit somewhat vaguely) maker- (ie. 'Wilh. Deumer - Lüdenscheid'-) marked- and/or: typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example as was produced by the: 'Wilh. Deumer'-company as based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that came stored it its period (luxuriously-styled!) etui as issued and that comes in an overall very nice- (and just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The (I deem) mid- (ie. later-) war-period award ie. war-badge comes in a just moderately worn condtion and comes naturally mounted onto its fully functional (and fully unaltered!) pin- and/or functional catch (ie. typical catch set-up). The award shows a 'separately'- (and/or detailed!) greyish-silver-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of two firmly attached- (and unaltered!) rivets (as is visible on the back). The badge retains most of its period-applied greyish-toned finish but does show a tarnished- (ie. typical zinc-like-) age-patina as is more often encountered on these Luftwaffe-related war-badges. The badge shows a somewhat vaguely (but surely present!) makers'-mark-designation (ie. 'Wilh. Deumer - Lüdenscheid') and is in all respects thus an example that can be attributed to the desirable maker: 'Wilhelm Deumer' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid: the award shows naturally all the specific details as known for a genuine, air-gunners-badge by this particular maker. The piece is just minimally stained ie. dirty but has I deem never been cleaned: both wreath and/or eagle-device retain a nice albeit minimally tarnished appearance. The award came stored it its period (luxuriously-styled!) etui that comes in an equally nicely preserved condition. The etui shows a (fully present) velvet-like interior and shows on its lid the (silverish-golden-toned and complete) text that reads: 'Luftwaffen-Fliegerschützen-Abzeichen' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The set originates from a private household in Germany and was never part of a collection. I deem that I have priced this attractive (and completely untouched!) piece according to its comparative scarcity and/or desirability!
