Unususal - and neatly 'cyphered'! - single WH (Luftwaffe) EM-type shoulderstrap: 'Soldat des Festungs-Flakartillerie-Abtlgs o. Rgts. 4'
This is a neat - regrettably single but nevertheless scarcely seen! - (I deem) pre-war-period and neatly 'cyphered', WH (Luftwaffe) enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Festungs-Flakartillerie-Abteilungs o. Regiments 4' (or: or simply soldier who served within a specific fortress-anti-aircraft-unit, numbered: '4') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. moderately worn- ie. clearly used- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap - which measures approximately 12 cms. in length - shows the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour and has the woolen-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap that came without tongue was clearly used as a strap of the 'sew-in'-pattern (I deem that it was once attached to a so-called: 'Viertaschenrock'). The strap shows a 'Gothic'-styled so-called: 'F'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and dito '4'-numeral attached (which are executed in neat 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected) denoting that the strap was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Festungs-Flakartillerie-Abteilungs o. Regiments 4'. The strap shows some evident age, wear and/or staining (as can be noticed on the pictures). This particular strap originated from a larger cloth- and insignia-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site: it should, moreover, be noted that all 'cyphered' LW-straps are truly very hard to find. Simply a great occasion to acquire an attractive - and actually quite scarely seen! - EM-type, LW-shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat des Festungs-Flakartillerie-Abteilungs o. Regiments 4'!
