Moderately used - and very desirable! - pair of WH (Heeres) 'M40'-pattern) 'cyphered' EM-type shoulderstraps as intended for a: 'Soldatdes Gebirgsjäger-Rgts. 98'

This is a very attractive - fully matching and actually in this particular branchcolour very scarecly found! - pair of neatly 'cyphered' and (I deem) typical 'standard-issued'- (ie. 'non-tailor-made'), WH (Heeres) enlisted-mens'-type (ie. 'M40'-pattern) shoulderstraps as was piped in the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a soldier who served within the: 'Heeres Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 98' (or: army mountain-troopers regiment, numbered: '98') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn- and/or most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The neat straps are just moderately used and/or worn and do show both some minimal wear, age and/or staining but are void of any damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which are constructed from the typical 'smooth-type wool' - show the desirable darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured- and/or woolen-type piping attached and measure approximately 12,4 cms. in length each. The straps show the darker-green- (ie. 'grüner'-) coloured and/or neatly machine-embroidered: '9'- and/or: '8'-numerals ie. 'Ziffern' attached (which are executed in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected). The pair never had any tongues attached and was clearly intended (as used as!) a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern: it does show some minimal age-, wear and/or staining but is totally void of any damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). These type of shoulderstraps are of the typical (early- ie. pre-) war-period pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). The pair originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty very desirable! - 'Gebirgsjäger o. Jäger'-related, EM-type 'Heeres' shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Soldat des Gebirgsjäger-Regiments 98' and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
