Pair of - truly used- and/or worn! - WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied des Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abtlgs. 7'

The truly attractive - neatly 'cyphered' and actually quite rarely found! - WH (Heeres) ie. 'Kavallerie o. Aufklärungs'-related shoulderboard-pair is piped in the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour and was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied des Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs 7' (or: army captain who served within the cavalry- ie. reconnaissance-unit, numbered: '7') and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. most certainly issued and/or moderately used- ie. worn- and most certainly carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The truly attractive shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Kavallerie'-related shoulderboards and have the greysish-silver-coloured (ie. somewhat shiny) 'upperdecks'. The boards show the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the typical smooth-type wool as more often seen). The boards never has any tongues attached and were clearly intended for usage as a pair of 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 10 cms. in length each and show a (fully matching) pair of (larger-sized, Gothic-styled- and/or: 'Buntmetall'-based) so-called: 'A'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a matching set of (also golden-toned, smaller-sized- and/or also 'Buntmetall'-based): '7'-numerals (ie. Ziffern) and a two pairs of (larger-sized and equally-styled) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank of a: 'Hauptmann' (ie. captain). All eight devices are just minimally stained- ie. tarnished but have preserved a fine and fairly bright- (albeit minimally darkened) age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair was truly used as such as does show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and neatly 'cyphered'! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied des Kavallerie-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs 7'!
