Zinc-based, WH (LW) ie. 'Flieger o. Geschwader'-related ID-disc bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Fl.H.Kdtr. Bln.-Gatow' (and as such belonging to a staff-member serving at the famous airfield: 'Berlin-Gatow')
This is an attractive - and with certainty scarcely encountered! - example of a greyish-coloured- and/or typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based WH (Luftwaffe-) ie. 'Flieger o. Geschwader'- (ie. pilot) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that is bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Fl.H.Kdtr. Bln.-Gatow' (and that as such belonged to a staff-member serving at the famous airfield: 'Berlin-Gatow'). The disc comes in an overall very nice (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been moderately used ie. worn (as can be noticed on the pictures). The disc - that came mounted onto its period cord as issued and worn - shows the impressed bearers'-blood-group-type (Type A) something that is more often (but not always!) seen on these ID-discs. The disc originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered. Simply a very attractive and honest, WH (Luftwaffe-) ie. 'Flieger o. Geschwader'-related ID-disc that belonged to a member who served at the famous airfield: 'Berlin-Gatow' and that is priced according to its comparative scarcity and/or desirability!
