Single, WH (Heeres) NCO-type (ie. 'M36-/M40'-pattern, 'cyphered' shoulderstrap: 'Unteroffizier des Nachrichten-Abts. 12'
This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-war-) period, so-called: 'M36- o. M40'-pattern, 'cyphered'- and bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) piped NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier des Nachrichten-Abteilungs 12' (or: NCO ie. junior-sergeant who served within the army signals-unit numbered: '12') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstrap - which is approximately 10,2 cms. sized in length - has the 'standard-type'- and/or darker-green-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdeck' and has the bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'- and/or woolen-type) piping, attached. It shows the 'standard'-pattern, silver-toned NCO-braid attached. Moreover, does it show the neat hand-embroidered: '1'- and/or: '2'-numerals attached (which are both as executed in bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured so-called: 'Maschinenstickerei' as to be expected) denoting the NCOs rank ie. function of: 'Unteroffizier des Nachrichten-Abteilungs 12'. The strap - which never had a tongue attached and that was clearly used- and intended as a strap of the 'sew-in'-pattern - shows as stated above just moderate usage and/or wear and is just minimally stained. It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'fairly scarce'. Simply an attractive and/or: early-war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related NCO-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier des Nachrichten-Abteilungs 12'!
