Pair of fully matching - and neatly 'cyphered'! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as was intended for - and clearly worn by! - a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Rgts. 56'

This is a very attractive - and I deem just minimally used- ie. carefully tunic-removed! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 56' (or: captain who served within the army-infantry regiment, numbered: '56') and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem surely issued- ie. worn and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Infanterie'-related (typically 'front-worn'!) shoulderboards and have the silver-coloured (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued', silverish-grey-toned) 'upperdecks' (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth'-type linnen as more often). The boards – that were found with a pair of field-grey-toned 'Schraubknöpfe' attached - come mounted onto their (smaller-sized) tongues attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards - which shows two pairs of (fully matching, regular-styled, larger-sized, 'Buntmetall'-based and/or: bright-golden-toned) '5'- and/or: '6'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') and four (identically-styled) pips period-attached - measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and show both some obvious age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. The pair was never before in collectors'-hands and originates directly from a private-household in Germany. Simply an interesting - and most certainly attractive! - WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to a: 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 56' and that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
