The badge - which has the neat 'greyish-silver'- and braid-based border' (ie. 'Kordel') attached - signified that the bearer had sucessfully succeeded various tests in this speciality. The piece - which shows a additionally-added linnen-based- and/or black-coloured 'backing' - is nicely machine-woven on a LW bluish-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and simply shows moderate age and/or wear.
