WH (Kriegsmarine) neatly machine-embroidered, so-called: career- ie. specialist-armbadge (ie. 'Tätigkeits-Abzeichen') as was intended to signify the: 'Sonderausbildung für Torpedotaucher'

This is an attractive - truly used- and/or carefully tunic-removed and actually truly rarely encountered! - WH (Kriegsmarine) neatly machine-embroidered, so-called: career- ie. specialist-armbadge (ie. 'Tätigkeits-Abzeichen') as executed in multi-coloured linnen onto a typical darke-blue-coloured (and woolen-based) backing as was specifically intended to signify participation in the: 'Sonderausbildung für Torpedotaucher' (ie. specific, torpedo scuba-diver-course) and that comes in an overall nice, condition. The badge - which was to be mounted on the upper-arm-regions of the various blue-coloured, naval-tunics - depicts a detailed and bright-red-coloured 'divers-helmet'-device and shows a double rank-chevron (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge is executed in bright-red- (and bright-blue) coloured linnen onto a blue-coloured and/or typical, (smooth- ie. felt-) woolen-based background. The piece does show extraordinary craftmenship and is not additonally backed as more often seen. The piece just shows some minimal age, wear and/or staining caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage. It sounds maybe strange but all WH (Kriegsmarine) career- ie. specialist-armbadges as specifically related to the various naval 'Taucher'-units are truly very hard to encounter and can easily be graded 'rare'. Simply a very attractive example that is I deem with certainty accordingly priced!
