This is a neat example of an unusually seen, TR-period - and typically hand-crafted! - golden-bronze-coloured (and somewhat tarnished) (I deem) female-related belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss') depicting an illustration of a so-called: 'Wolfshook'-rune and that comes in an overall nicely preserved condition. The somewhat smaller-sized piece (having an approximate diameter of only 4,2 cms.) shows some regular age, wear and/or staining: it was, however, never cleaned nor polished and comes as recently uncovered at a German private-household. It comes naturally mounted onto its integrated catch and belt-attachment. Simply an attractive example of German 'Volkskunst' of the TR-period and that comes not that often for sale and that is I deem accordingly priced!
