WH (Heeres) hand-embroidered trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia: 'geprüfter Wallmeister' (or: fortification-construction-staff-member ie. NCO having at least one-years experience in this function)
This is a truly attractive - and with certainty very scarcely encountered! - neatly hand-embroidered example of a WH (Heeres) so-called: trade- and/or special-career arm-insignia (or: 'Laufbahn- o. Tätigkeitsabzeichen') as was specifically intended for an army: 'geprüfter Wallmeister' (or: fortification-construction-staff-member ie. NCO having at least one-years experience in this function) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem clearly worn- and/or once-tunic-attached-), condition. The neat patch is executed on a darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and shows the (Gothic-styled, very detailed and/or neatly hand-embroidered) 'W'-character as executed in bright-yellow-coloured linnen: next to this, it shows a neatly hand-embroidered, braid-based 'rim' denoting that the NCO who wore this piece had a one-years experience in this function. The patch shows a black-coloured linnen-based 'backing' as is more often encountered that shows some glue-remains caused by having been glued into a album or scrapbook once (as can be seen on the pictures). The patch shows some minimal staining simply caused by decades of storage and/or moderate wear. This particular example originated from a larger cloth- and/or shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive WH (Heeres) trade- ie. specialist badge: one of the more difficult to encounter specimen of the extensive series!
