Unusual insignia-grouping comprising of a matching pair of WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant eines Inf.-Rgts.' that comes with its accompanying ID-disc (bearing the unit-designation: '1. Schütz.Ers.Kp. 106')
The neat WH (Heeres) - typical 'standard'-issued type and neatly 'cyphered' - officers'-pattern shoulderboards (showing two matching pairs of the regular-sized- and/or bright-golden-toned so-called: '1'-, '0'- and/or: '6'-cyphers period-attached!) are piped in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and are 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Infanterie'- (ie. infantry-) related shoulderboards and have the greyish-silver- (ie. somewhat sub-dued-) 'upperdecks': they were clearly issued and/or used and were carefully tunic-removed. The boards show the desirable white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the smooth-type wool as to be expected). The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each and never had any tongues attached: they were clearly worn as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type. The pair shows some minimal age and/or staining (simply caused by decades of storage and/or fair wear as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows two matching pairs of (regular-sized, bright-golden-toned) so-called: '1'-, '0'- and/or: '6'-numerals (ie. 'cyphers' or: 'Ziffern') and two (identical, regular-sized, golden-toned) pips period-attached and was thus intended for an officer holding the rank of: 'Oberleutnant' serving within the 'Infanterie-Regiment 106'. The pair originates from a private-household in Germany and was found together with its accompanying aluminium-based ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') from the same bearer. This disc - which is executed in aluminium-based metal - bears the stamped unit-designation: '1. Schütz.Ers.Kp. 106'. The disc comes also in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-) condition and is executed in a very attractive letter-type: it shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat torn-out holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc also shows the bearers'-blood-group: type '0' (as can be seen on the pictures) and was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty). Simply a neat - and unusually encountered! - small-sized grouping that originated from a: 'Heeres-Infanterie'-officer!
