Pair of early-war-period WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' (rounded-styled), NCO-type ('M40'-pattern-) shoulderstraps as was intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises XVIII'
This is a truly very attractive - fully matching and actually very scarcely encountered! - pair of early-war-period- (ie. 'M40'-pattern- and/or rounded-styled), WH (Heeres) 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps as piped in the bright-orange- (ie. 'orangeroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and most certainly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises XVIII' (or: army-NCO ie. junior-sergeant who was part of the recruitment-troops within the area of 'Wehrkreis XVIII', being a larger area situated in occupied Austria and residing in Salzburg) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit issued ie. moderately worn-), condition. The neat and somewhat broad-shaped shoulderstraps - which do show some regular age ie. wear and/or minimal staining caused by moderate usage and/or wear - come as stated above in an overall very nice, albeit moderately used and/or worn condition but are void of any damage whatsoever. The straps are executed in the darker-green coloured- (and/or: smooth- ie. moleskin-type wool) show the bright-orange- (ie. 'orangeroter'-) coloured and woolen-type piping attached. The shoulderstraps - which come mounted onto their functional tongues attached - measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length each. The straps show the neat Roman-styled- and/or: machine-embroidered 'XVIII'-numerals (ie. 'Ziffern') which are executed in bright-orange- ie. 'orangeroter'-coloured so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected, denoting the NCOs rank ie. function of: 'Unteroffizier des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises XVIII'. The straps show the standard-type, silverish-grey-coloured NCO-braid attached denoting the NCOs rank of: 'Unteroffizier'. I deem that I have priced this very attractive 'Unteroffizier des Wehr-Ersatzdienstelle im Wehrkreises XVIII'-shoulderstrap-pair according to its evident desirability and/or comparative rarity!
