4-pieced, WWII-period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing various WWII-period awards (amongst which a: Czech 'Anschluss'- and an: 'Olympiade 1936'-commemorative medal)
This is an attractive, 4-pieced WWII-period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing respectively the ribbons for an: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class), a: (WWII- ie. TR-period-) so-called: 'WH-Dienstauszeichnung der 4. Klasse' (or WH loyal-service medal as was awarded for four years of loyal service) having a (silver-coloured) eagle-device attached, a: 'Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938' (or: Czech 'Anschluss'-medal) as was awarded to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of Czechoslovakia that started on: '1. Oktober 1938' and a: 'Deutsche Olympia-Erinnerungsmedaille 1936' (or: Berlin Olympic Games 1936 commemorative-medal), all four ribbons (and 'Auflage'!) coming in a wonderful- (and only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The ribbons are of the regular (ie. smaller), ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1 cms. each (as is more often encountered). The 'Spange' comes in a very nice condition overall and is not 'backed' with a piece of wool but comes mounted onto a chrome-steel-based 'backing-plate' (as more often). The attached device shows some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been very nicely preserved. This particular example was in my opinion only moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply an attractive 'Feld- o. Bandspange' having an desirable combination: great to decorate almost any TR-period tunic!
