Mid- (ie. later-) war-period - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) field-grey-coloured, woolen-based- and/or bright-red-piped: 'Sturmgeschütze'-collar-tab having a greyish-toned 'Einheitskragenspiegel' attached
The truly attractive piece - which was amongst others used on the field-grey-coloured 'wrap-around' 'Sturmgeschütze'-tunics - has a 'standard-pattern', beige-coloured- (and/or: typical 'Buckram'-based) backing as is more often encountered and does show some regular age, wear and/or minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which has the neat, 'silk-like'-type- and/or: bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured piping attached - is a 'text-book' example of a mid- (ie. later-) war-period specimen that has clearly been used and/or tunic-removed (some crudely executed stitching-holes and/or minimal thread-remains are still visible and/or present as can be seen on the pictures). The neat greyish-toned 'Einheitskragenspiegel' is of the 'standard-issued'-pattern having the greyish-toned 'Waffenfarbe' is period-attached to the tab by means of typical machine-stitching (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular piece originates from a neat insignia-lot that was recently uncovered at an old dry-cleaner in the town of Ghent (Gent) in Belgium: I have included an overview-picture of the entire lot (as can be noticed on the pictures). These genuine 'Sturmgeschütze'-type collar-insignia can easily be graded 'fairly scarce': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
