Early- (ie. mid-) war-period - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres) black-coloured, woolen-based- and/or bright-yellow-piped: 'Panzer-Nachrichten'-collar-tab having an aluminium based 'Totenkopf' (ie. skull) attached

The truly attractive piece - which was amongst others used on the black-coloured 'wrap-around' Panzer-tunics - has a 'standard-pattern', beige-coloured- (and/or: typical 'Buckram'-based) backing as is more often encountered and does show some regular age, wear and/or minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which has the neat, (early) woolen-type- and/or: bright-yellow- (ie. 'zironengelber'-) coloured piping attached - is a 'text-book' example of an early- (ie. mid-) war-period specimen that has clearly been used and/or tunic-removed (some crudely executed stitching-holes and/or minimal thread-remains are still visible and/or present as can be seen on the pictures). The neat silverish-toned- and aluminium-based- (and somewhat stained) skull-device is of the 'standard-issued'-pattern having a 'dual-pieced-prong'-set-up: the piece is still firmly period-attached to the tab but misses one of its aluminium-based prongs (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular piece originates from a neat insignia-lot that was recently uncovered at an old dry-cleaner in the town of Ghent (Gent) in Belgium: I have included an overview-picture of the entire lot (as can be noticed on the pictures). These genuine (early pattern!) 'Panzer-Nachrichten'-type collar-insignia can easily be graded 'fairly scarce': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
