Truly used- and/or worn, multi-coloured- and/or 'BeVo'-woven armshield (ie. 'Ärmelschild') entitled: 'Hrvatska' as was intended for usage by a volunteer who served within the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the 'Kroatische Legion'
This is a truly attractive - and with certainty worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed! - example of a multi-coloured- and neatly 'BeVo'-woven-type armshield (ie. 'Ärmelschild') entitled: 'Hrvatska' (being the Serbo-Croat spelling for Croatia) as was intended for usage by a volunteer who served within the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the 'Kroatische Legion' and that comes in a very nice- (ie. neatly period-confectioned- and/or once tunic-attached-), condition. The shield that shows the typical red and white-coloured 'checkered shield' comes as recently found and used: it is just a tiny bit 'wrinkled' ie. minimally stained simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage only (as can be seen on the pictures) and is an attractive example of the 'BeVo'-weave-technique. This particular piece originates from a neat insignia-lot that was recently uncovered at an old dry-cleaner in the town of Ghent (Gent) in Belgium: I have included an overview-picture of the entire lot (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a very attractive example that shows true character!
