Truly used- and/or worn, 'BeVo'-type armshield (of the first pattern!) entitled: 'Biz Alla Bilen - Turkistan' (being a piece that was intended for a volunteer who served within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the: 'Turkistanisches Legion') Truly used- and/or worn, 'BeVo'-type armshield (of the first pattern!) entitled: 'Biz Alla Bilen - Turkistan' (being a piece that was intended for a volunteer who served within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the: 'Turkistanisches Legion') Truly used- and/or worn, 'BeVo'-type armshield (of the first pattern!) entitled: 'Biz Alla Bilen - Turkistan' (being a piece that was intended for a volunteer who served within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the: 'Turkistanisches Legion')

Truly used- and/or worn, 'BeVo'-type armshield (of the first pattern!) entitled: 'Biz Alla Bilen - Turkistan' (being a piece that was intended for a volunteer who served within the: 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the: 'Turkistanisches Legion')

This particular colourful volunteer-armshield - being of the rarely encountered first pattern! - shows a mosq-symbol with above the Arabic text: 'Biz Alla Bilen' and is neatly woven in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave technique: it comes in a clearly used- and/or once tunic-attached condition (as can be seen on the pictures). This example is truly one of the rarer 'BeVo'-type arm-shields to encounter and only one of the few such (truly used!) examples I ever had on offer. The shield on offer here comes in a truly wonderful condition and just shows some age, wear and/or staining. The piece is very different from the many copies that are regrettably in existance today. This rare first pattern 'Turkistanian' armshield (as was introduced in 1942) saw only limited usage and was quite soon replaced by a second pattern in the year 1943. This particular piece originates from a neat insignia-lot that was recently uncovered at an old dry-cleaner in the town of Ghent (Gent) in Belgium: I have included an overview-picture of the entire lot (as can be noticed on the pictures). These - original - 'official' arm-shields of the first pattern as executed in 'BeVo'-type weave (ie. German manufacture by the company of 'BeVo'!) can be easily considered 'rare': simply a wonderful example that will be hard to be upgraded!
