Pair of 'standard-issued'-pattern, WH-gasmask-glasses (ie. 'Maskenbrille') as was intended for usage in conjunction with the gasmask as issued to a soldier named: 'Russe' (or alike) serving within the: '1. Art.Ausb.Abt. 26'
The pair of specific gas-mask-glasses (ie. 'Maskenbrille') on offer here was with certainty used as such and comes in a clearly worn- ie. moderately used, condition: the pair - as well as the greyish-blue-coloured container showing the text: 'Masken-Brille' on its top - shows some regular usage-marks and minimal rust-staining (as can be seen on the pictures). It came complete with its metal-rimmed pair of glasses that come mounted on their period-attached cords and has its period prescription-lenses installed. Its paper-based 'inlay' is naturally also present (and is nicely filled-in and/or dated). According to the included paper was the pair issued on 19-4-1943 to a soldier named 'Russe' or alike, who was a member within the: '1. Art.Ausb.Abt. 26' as was based in the town of Euskirchen. This example was found together wih Russes' specific service-glasses ie. 'Dienstbrille' which I offer under number: 68549: both examples were recently found together at a German fleamarket. Simply an attractive and/or complete example of a WWII-period 'Maskenbrille': great to add to any WH-equipment set-up!
