Reddish-bronze-toned- (ie. 'Cupal'-based!) so-called: commemorative-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille') bearing the text: 'Für Deutschland's Starke u. Sicherheit im Westen'
This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often- ie. rarely encountered! - bronze-toned- ie. 'Cupal'-based, so-called: commemorative-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille') showing a mountain-area with woods (being the surroundings of the town of: Orscholz in the Saarland), a shovel and sword-device and bearing the text: 'Für Deutschland’s Starke u. Sicherheit im Westen' coupled with a swastika-sign and that comes in an overall wonderful condition. The neat - medium-sized- and/or lightweight-piece having an approximate diameter of only 4,5 cms. - has pronounced detail and was I deem never cleaned nor polished: it has maintained a neat (somewhat glossy!) reddisg-bronze-toned age-patina (but also shows some minimal tarnish as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was I deem awarded by a construction-company something that can be deducted from the text on its back that reads: 'Gewidmet vom Generalunternehmer Baugesellschaft C. Kallenbach - Berlin Baubüro Merzig-Saar'. These neat - semi-official - presentation-pieces were presumably used as some sort of awards as (presumably handed-out for work done on the famous 'Westwall' aka 'Siegfried'-line). This award was rendered to commemorate the fortification-work that was specifically done around the town of Orscholz (aka as the: 'Orscholzer Riegel'). The piece originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered as issued and stored for decades. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty unusually and rarely encountered! - table-medal ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Medaille'!
