Single, WH (Heeres), early- (ie. mid-) war-period, ie. 'M40- o. M43'-pattern, 'cyphered', NCO-type shoulderstrap as was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Beobachtung-Batallions 8'

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single! - WH (Heeres), early- (ie. mid-) war-period, ie. 'M40- o. M43'-pattern, 'cyphered'-, NCO-type shoulderstrap as was piped in the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Beobachtungs-Battalions 8' (or: sergeant who served an artillery-observers unit ie. batallion, numbered: '8') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just minimally used ie. worn-), condition. The neat shoulderstrap - which is approximately 11,3 cms. sized in length - has the 'standard-type' and/or field-grey-coloured, smooth-woolen-based 'upperdeck' and has the bright-red- (ie. 'hochroter'-) coloured and/or: desirable 'silk-like'-type piping attached. The strap - which comes mounted onto its functional tongue - shows as stated above some minimal usage and/or wear (some minor staining and/or dust is visible and/or present). The strap shows the silverish-grey-coloured- (ie. 'standard-issued'-pattern) 'Heeres'-type NCO-braid and/or single- ('Buntmetall'-based- and/or regular-sized) pip attached denoting the NCOs-rank of: 'Feldwebel' (ie. sergeant). Next to this, does the strap show a neat (Gothic-styled, equally 'Buntmetall'-based- and/or smaller-sized) 'B'-cypher (ie. 'Ziffer') and a (smaller-sized and also 'Buntmetall'-based) '8'-cypher, period-attached. All three devices are nicely preserved and do only show only minimal age- ie. tarnish. It should be noted that all 'cyphered'-pattern shoulderstraps can be easily regarded 'fairly scarce'. This particular example originated from a larger cloth- ie. shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. In any case is this an attractive and I deem early- (ie. mid-) war-period, neatly 'cyphered' and/or: 'Heeres'-related shoulderstrap that was intended for a: 'Feldwebel u. Mitglied des Artillerie-Beobachtung-Batallions 8'!
