This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often seen! - silver-toned- (and I deem typically zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based) commemorative (I deem) DAF- (ie. 'Deutsches Arbeitsfront'-) related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') depicting a pair of ski’s and a so-called: 'DAF-Zahnrad' coupled with the text: 'Wintersporttag der Betriebe 1941' and that was as such intended for a specific DAF-gathering ie. sports-rally that was held in the year 1941. The neat and pronounced day-badge - which has an approximate length of 5,7 cms. - shows a neat makers'-designation on its back (that reads: 'B.H. Mayer - Pforzheim') and comes in an overall very nice (albeit issued and/or I deem just moderately worn-), condition: it shows extraordinary detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished (some minimal staining is, however, present and visible as can be seen on the pictures). It comes naturally mounted on its (functional) pin-/catch set-up. Simply an attractive - and most certainly not that often encountered - DAF- (ie. 'Deutsches Arbeitsfront'-) related 'tinnie' that is accordingly priced!
