Pair of WH (Heeres), early-war-period, 'privately-purchased'-pattern so-called: 'M36 o. M40'-styled, NCO-type 'cyphered' shoulderstraps: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Rgts. 88'
This is an atttractive - and/or fully matching! - 'privately-purchased'-pattern pair of WH (Heeres) early- (ie. mid-) war-period-, so-called: 'M36 o. M40'-styled, NCO-type 'cyphered' shoulderstraps as piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for - and clearly used by! - a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 88' (or: sergeant who served within the infantry regiment, numbered: '88') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used and/or worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern-, darker-green-coloured and typical 'boiled'-woolen-based 'upperdecks' - have the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured (and/or: rayon-type-) piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). They each measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length and are fully matching in style and/or execution: they are a typical, 'privately-purchased'- ie. 'non-standard-issued'-pair. The straps (which come mounted onto their functional and also boiled-woolen-based tongues) have the 'standard'-pattern and/or silverish-grey-coloured- (ie. somewhat sub-dued) WH 'Heeres'-type NCO-braid attached: furthermore, does the set show two, identical (regular-sized- and/or aluminium-based) pips and two (also matching, smaller-sized and 'Buntemetall'-based) pairs of so-called: '8'-cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') period-attached, denoting that the NCO who wore this set was an NCO ie. 'Feldwebel der Infanterie-Truppen u. Mitglied des Infanterie-Regiments 88'. All six devices show some equal wear ie. are somewhat tarnished. The pair was clearly used and/or worn and shows the evident age, wear and/or staining as to be expected. This particular shoulderstrap-set originated from a larger-sized- and older cloth-/shoulderstrap-collection I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a great occasion to acquire an attractive and with certainty desirable NCO-type, 'Infanterie'-related- and typical 'tailor-made' shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Feldwebel des Infanterie-Regiments 88'!
