This is an attractive - fully matching and (I deem) pre-war- ie. evt. early-war-period! - pair of 'standard-issued'-pattern, WH (Heeres) early- (ie. pre-) war period- (ie. 'M36'- ie. 'M40'-pattern and/or: rounded-styled), neatly 'cyphered' NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unteroffiziere des Heeres') as was piped in the desirable golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Unteroffizier des Kavallerie- o. Reiter-Regiments 14' (or: junior NCO who served within the cavalry-regiment, numbered: '14') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured and/or typical 'smooth woolen'-based 'upperdecks' and that measure approximately 10,6 cms. in length each - show the neat golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured and/or (typical) woolen-type piping attached and do show the silverish-golden-toned NCO-braid (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair comes naturally mounted onto their period-attached- (regular-shaped) tongues attached and comes in a very nice- (ie. fully 'text-book') condition overall (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei') so-called: '1'- and/or: '4'-cyphers ie. numerals (or: 'Ziffern'). Both 'cyphers' are executed in the golden-yellow- (ie. 'goldgelbener'-) coloured wool ie. linnen as to be expected (as can be seen on the pictures). These type of shoulderstraps are of the fairly early-war-period pattern straps and were worn in the period around 1939/1940 (and were 'worn-out' even during the rest of the war). The pair only shows moderate wear and/or age and is just nicely preserved over the years: one of the straps shows some minimal moth-damage on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that both straps show a period-sewn 'loop' onto their bottom (as can be noticed on the pictures) something that was most certainly done in order to accomodate a pair of so-called: 'Schwalbennester' (worn by army-musicians). I deem this an excellent occasion to acquire a neat - and most certainly desirable! - 'Kavallerie'-related, Heeres NCO-type shoulderstrap-pair for a justified price!
