Commemorative, silver-toned 'souvenir'-cigarette-etui' (ie. 'Erinnerungs-Etui') showing an illustration of two dancing ladies and engraved text: 'Zur Erinnerung an den Polenfeldzug 1939 - 234. Reg. - 8.Komp. - gew. von Euerm Oberleutnant W. Lange'
This is an attractive - and with certainty scarcely encountered! - silver-toned 'souvenir'-cigarette-etui' (ie. 'Erinnerungs-Etui') showing an illustration of two dancing ladies on its top and that is showing an engraved text in its inside that simply reads: 'Zur Erinnerung an den Polenfeldzug 1939 - 234. Reg. - 8.Komp. - gew. von Euerm Oberleutnant W. Lange' and that comes as stored for decades and that comes in an overall wonderful and nicely preserved, condition. The neat - smaller-sized- and/or regular-weight-piece (measuring only 9,2 x 6,5 x 1 cms.) - has truly pronounced detail and was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished: it has maintained a neat typical, silver-toned (ie. somewhat tarnished) age-patina (and also shows a minimally dented bottom as can be seen on the pictures). The piece came as issued and/or stored for decades. These attractive - semi-official - souvenir-pieces were handed-out to the troops by certain commanding-officers in the beginning of WWII. Simply an attractive - and with certainty unusually encountered! - WH-related 'souvenir-piece' commemorating the Polish Campaign!
