'Zollgrenzschütz-Ehrenzeichen' (or: customs loyal-service medal) that comes together with its full-length ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and that comes stored in its repaired etui
This is truly very attractive - and actually very scarcely encountered! - example of a typical reddish-bronze-toned (and/or: typical 'Buntmetall'-based!) so-called: 'Zollgrenzschütz-Ehrenzeichen' (or: customs loyal-service medal) that came together with its full-length- (ie. broader-shaped, non-confectioned- and actually scarcely found!) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and that came stored in its period (albeit roughly repaired) green-coloured etui as issued and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem issued- and/or never worn- ie. never mounted-), condition. The medal is just a tiny bit tarnished but retains a truly fantastic and detailed age-patina overall (it has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished). The award - which was as stated above never mounted - came together with its original, nicely folded and full-length (ie. approximately 20 cms. long and/or: 5,2 cms. wide-sized) cornflower-blue-coloured ribbon that shows an interwoven golden-yellow-coloured 'Zollgrenzschütz'-eagle-device (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece came stored stored in its period, two-pieced etui (that is complete but that shows a repaired top-lid as can be seen on the pictures). The award originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found as such. Simply a very nicely preserved - and/or fully complete! - 'Zollgrenzschütz-Ehrenzeichen'-set that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
