Pair of WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards: 'Oberleutnant der Nebelwerfer-Trpn. u. Mitglied einer Nebelwerferschule'

The attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely found! - pair of neatly 'cyphered', WH (Heeres) officers'-type shoulderboards (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Offiziere des Heeres') are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres'-type, officers'-pattern shoulderboards and have the silverish-grey- (ie. somewhat 'sub-dued'-type-) 'upperdecks': they were presumably once tunic-attached and just show some minimal age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards show the desirable darker-purple-red- (ie. 'bordeaux-roter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type'- ie. 'moleskin-type'-wool as to be expected). The boards came mounted onto their typical officers'-pattern tongues attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 10,5 cms. in length each and show a matching pair of (minimally tarnished, golden-toned, larger-sized- and/or 'Buntmetall'-based): 'S'- cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of (equally-styled- and regular-sized) pips period-attached denoting the officers-rank of an: 'Oberleutnant' (ie. lieutnant first-class) who served as a trainer at the Heeres 'Nebelwerferschule' (as was I deem based in the town of Celle). Taking into account the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type 'upperdecks' I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used'-tunic'. The set originates from a fairly large collection of boards and straps I recently aquired for the web-site. It should, moreover, be mentioned that these neatly 'cyphered', 'Werfer- o. Nebelwerfer'-related shoulderboards are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'scarce'. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant der Nebelwerfer-Truppen u. Mitglied einer Nebelwerferschule' and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
