WH (Heeres), 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboard-pair (that comes mounted on its unsually seen: 'Auf der Steg'-mounting!) as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant einer Veterinär-Abtlgs.'

This is an attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely found! - WH (Heeres), neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboard-pair (that comes mounted on its unsually seen: 'Auf der Steg'-mounting!) and that is piped in the neat darker-pink- ie. crimson- (or: 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour and that was as such intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant einer Veterinär-Abteilungs' (or: lieutnant first-class who served within a specific army veterinarian unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem just moderately used ie. worn- and/or clearly tunic-removed-), condition. The shoulderboards come mounted on their seldomly seen 'Auf der Steg'-set-up ie. mounting and where most likely used onto a white-coloured- (or: summer-type-) tunic. The boards are truly 'text-book'-examples of the 'Heeres'-type, 'Veterinäre'-shoulderboards and have the greyish-silver-coloured (ie. somewhat sub-dued-) 'upperdecks'. The boards show the darker-pink- ie. crimson- (or: 'karmesinroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and are constructed from the smooth- ie. 'moleskin'-type wool). The pair - that was recently found at a German private-household - shows a fully matching pair of regular-sized- (and darker-golden-coloured!) so-called: veterinarian- (ie. snake-type-) cyphers (ie. 'Ziffern') and a pair of (equally-styled albeit shiny golden-toned) pips period-attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). The boards measure approximately 11 cms. in length each. It was most certainly used and/or worn as such and does show some minimal age, wear and/or staining (no damage on both 'Auf der Steg'-mountings is present (the boards are of course fully functional and can easily serve to complete any tunic). Simply an attractive - and comparatively scarcely encountered! - officers'-type, 'Veterinäre'-related shoulderboard-pair that belonged to an: 'Oberleutnant einer Veterinär-Abteilungs'!
