4-pieced, WWI- (ie. WWII-) period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing various WWI- (ie. WWII-) period awards and a: WWI-period: 'EK II. Kl.' (with detailed 'Wiederhohlungs-Spange Miniatur')

This is an attractive, four-pieced WWI- (ie. WWII-) period ribbon-bar (ie. 'Feld- o. Bandspange') showing respectively the ribbons for various WWI-period awards such as a: WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross 2nd class) that shows a (very detailed and truly 'frosted'!) 'Wiederhohlungs-Spange'-miniature (ie. 'Miniatur') attached, a: WWII-period 'Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941-42' (or: 'Ost'-medal), a: 'Bayern Militär-Verdienstkreuz 4. Kl. mit Schwertern' (with detailed swords-device) and a: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (or: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz 1914-18 mit Schwertern') having a golden-toned sword-device attached. All four ribbons (and 'Auflagen') come in a wonderful- (and only moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The ribbons are of the regular (ie. smaller), ribbon-bar-size and measure approximately 1,5 cms. each (as is more often encountered). The 'Spange' comes in a very nice condition overall and is not 'backed' with a piece of wool but comes mounted onto a metal-based 'backing-plate' (as more often). The attached devices show some minimal age ie. tarnish but has been very nicely preserved. This particular example was in my opinion only moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply an attractive 'Feld- o. Bandspange' having an desirable combination: great to decorate almost any tunic!
