Fully untouched, 10-pieced award-grouping that belonged to the DkiG-bearer: Georg Attenberger, 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Rgts. 19'

This is a truly fantastic - and totally untouched! - 10-pieced award- (ie. shoulderboard-) grouping that belonged to the highly decorated DkiG-bearer and infantry-officer named: Georg Attenberger, 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Regiments 19' and that comes in a wonderful and totally untouched, condition. The grouping - that holds some really rarely seen awards! - was recently found as such and was never before part of a collection. It comprises respectively of a: 1) A neatly maker- (ie. '1'-) marked example of WH (Heeres, Waffen-SS, Luftwaffe etc.) 'Deutsches Kreuz im Gold' (or DKiG ie. German Cross in gold) being a (so-called: 'heavy-weight') specimen that was with certainty produced by the: 'Deschler u. Sohn'-company as based in the town of München and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit used- ie. moderately worn-), condition. The untouched piece has a (fully preserved and totally undamaged!) enamelled surface (ie. swastika-area) that just shows some minimal wear and/or minimal scratches (something that can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows some moderate age ie. wear but is totally void of any damage. It shows a 'frosted'- and bright-golden-toned (ie. metal- ie. 'Buntmetall'-based) wreath as to be expected. The award shows an attractive silver-coloured age-patina (it has not been cleaned and is still a bit dirty ie. stained) and retains all its four (fully unaltered!) rivets and totally untouched catch (ie. set-up) in place. 2) Cloth version of a WH (Heeres o. Waffen-SS) 'Deutsches Kreuz im Gold in Stoff' (or: cloth-based DKiG ie. German Cross in gold) that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just moderately worn- and or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The piece - which is neatly hand-embroidered in various types of bullion - has a typical field-grey-coloured- (ie. typical 'Heeres o. Waffen-SS'-type-) woolen-based background, signifying that it deals with a piece that was awarded to a 'Heeres o. Waffen-SS'-soldier. The piece shows just some age, wear and/or staining and shows a (white-inked) makers'-designation on it back (as can be seen on the pictures). It does show a bright-golden-toned (ie. 'Buntmetall'-based) wreath as to be expected. 3) A superb 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' being a - rarely seen! - nickle-chrome-based (but unmarked) specimen that was produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'- (ie. 'F.L & L.'-) company. This IAB shows some minimal age ie. staining but comes mounted onto its functional (and unaltered) pin- ie. pin/catch-setup. 4) An attractive - and scarcely seen! - 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross 2nd class) being a 'variant'- and/or non-maker-marked specimen of the: 'runder Drei'- (ie. rounded-three-) pattern. The piece came together with its shortened ribbon as worn and is totally void of any paint-loss or alike. 5) A 'Nahkampfspange in Silber' (or: silver-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a non-maker- marked- and/or non-converse-shaped specimen having its period-attached (steel-based- and/or bluish-coloured) 'back-plate' firmly in place. The piece has regrettably lost most of its period-applied silver-toned finish (which has 'migriert' over the years as more often). The piece comes mounted onto its functional (and totally unaltered!) pin- ie. pin/catch-setup. 6) A neat 'Nahkampfspange in Bronze' (or: bronze-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a maker- (ie. 'F.L. & L.'-) marked- and/or non-converse-shaped specimen having its period-attached (steel-based- and copper-toned) 'back-plate' firmly in place. The piece has regrettably lost most of its period-applied bronze-toned finish (which has 'migriert' over the years as more often). The piece comes mounted onto its functional (and totally unaltered!) pin- ie. pin/catch-setup. 7, 8 & 9) A typical zinc-based medal-set: 'Winterschlacht im Osten 1941-42' being a non-maker-marked specimen that comes with its shortened ribbon and a sports-badge: 'Reichssportabzeichen DRL in Bronze' by the maker: 'Wernstein' that came with its accompanying miniature. 10) A pair of WH (Heeres), 'cyphered' officers'-type shoulderboards (that comes mounted onto their smaller tongues as was intended for an: 'Oberleutnant des Infanterie-Rgts. 91'. This pair shows obvious wear and/or slight moth-damage. Georg Attenberger was awarded his DKiG as an: 'Oberleutnant' when serving within the: '11. Kompagnie, III. Batailon des Infanterie-Regiments 19' (part of the: '7. Infanterie-Division') and was also later awarded the: 'Ehrenblattspange' (being then a: 'Hauptmann' and serving within the: 'Füsilier-Batailon 7') on 27 December, 1943). Regrettably, was this 'Ehrenblattspange' not part of the grouping and got most certainly missing over the years. Simply a fantastic, 10-pieced award-grouping that belonged to a highly-decorated front-soldier and DkiG-bearer: Georg Attenberger, 'Hauptmann des Infanterie-Rgts. 19': I deem that I have priced this superb and totally untouched grouping, accordingly!
