SA (ie. 'Sturmabteilungen') collar-patch-/shoulderboard-set (ie. 'Kragenspiegel- u. Schulterstücksatz'): 'SA-Sturmmann' - 'SA-Standarte 55' ('SA-Gruppe Westfalen o. Tannenberg')

This is an attractive - fully matching and actually very scarcely seen! - specific SA (ie. 'Sturmabteilungen') collar-patch- ie. shoulderboard-set (ie. 'Kragenspiegel- u. Schulterstücksatz') as was executed in wine-red- (ie. 'weinroter'-) coloured wool as was specifically intended for usage by 'SA-Sturmmann' serving within the: 'SA-Standarte 55' (belonging to the: Westfalen o. Tannenberg') being a just moderately used- and/or carefully tunic-removed set (of which the shoulderboard still retains its period-attached 'RzM'-etiket). The collar-tabs - that show both a typical 'buckram'-based 'backing' - come in an overall nicely preserved condition and show the (white-toned) '55'-numerals (ie. cyphers or 'Ziffern') as executed in linnen- or wool and that are executed by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' (as can be seen on the pictures). The rank-tab shows a single stripe of typical SA-rank-braid (denoting the rank of an: 'SA-Sturmmann') whereas the shoulderboards (that comes mounted onto its typical, smaller-sized tongue) still shows its period-attached, paper-based RzM-etiket (as can be noticed on the pictures). All three insignia-pieces show some obvious age, staing and/or wear and were with certainty once tunic- ie. shirt-attached. This interesting SA-insignia-set was found with various other SA-related cloth-insignia and was part of a grouping that was recently uncovered in the USA where it was brought after 1945 as a so-called: 'veteran-bringback'-lot. Simply a nicely preserved - and most certainly scarcely encountered! - 'Kragenspiegel- u. Schulterstücksatz' that belonged to an: 'SA-Sturmmann' serving within the: 'SA-Standarte 55' (ie. belonging to the: 'SA-Gruppe Westfalen o. Tannenberg') and that is I deem accordingly priced!
