Pair of Waffen-SS NCO-type shoulderstraps as was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptscharführer' who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Infanterie-Truppen'
This is a truly very attractive - fully matching, very desirable and with certainty rarely found! - pair of Waffen-SS NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unterführer der Waffen-SS') as was piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an NCO (ie: 'Hauptscharführer' or: sergeant first-class) who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Infanterie-Truppen' (or: infantry troops) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly ie. moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The straps - which come mounted onto their original and/or typically 'SS'- ie. smaller-shaped tongues as more often encountered on genuine Waffen-SS-type shoulderstraps - have the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured and/or: desirable 'silk-like'-type piping (as can be seen on the pictures). The backs of the straps (which measure 10,7 cms. in length as more often encountered) are executed in the field-grey-coloured wool, as is more often observed with genuine Waffen-SS-type shoulderstraps. The pieces - which can I deem be dated around 1941/42 - show some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The pair shows the ('standard-issued'-pattern) silverish-coloured NCO-braid and two pairs of (fully matching, regular-sized and zinc-based) pips period-attached denoting that they were intended for usage by a senior-NCO holding the rank of a: 'Hauptscharfüher' (ie. sergeant first-class). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that the NCO who wore this pair was most certainly (field)promoted: something that can easily be corroborated by the presence of the somewhat later, horizontally-mounted piece of NCO-braid (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and fully 'text-book'! - Waffen-SS-related, NCO-type 'Infanterie'-related shoulderstrap-pair that is priced according to its unmistaken rarity and/or desirability!
