This is an attractive - and this complete not that often encountered! - example of a WH-related, so-called: 'Tapferkeitsauszeichnung für Angehörige der Ostvölker, 2. Klasse in Silber mit Schwertern' (or: 'Ostvölker' silver-class service-medal for shown bravery on the Eastern Front with swords) being a (typical) non-maker-marked- and/or: 'Feinzink'-based example that comes mounted onto its period-attached ribbon ('Bandabschnitt') and stored in its period (ie. 'Zellstoff'-based) pouch as issued and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem only minimally used ie. worn-) condition. The exampe on offer is of the silver- (ie. second-) class with swords that truly retains almost all of its silver-toned finish and still retains great pronounced detail (it is just a tiny bit tarnished- ie. dirty as to be expected but was never cleaned nor polished as can be seen on the pictures). The typical (darker-green-coloured- and white-striped) ribbon is still period-sewn-together and comes with its period-attached (ie. bronze-coloured) pin-/catch 'attachment-clip' still attached. As stated above did this specimen come stored in its (scarcely seen!) period (ie. 'Zellstoff'-based) pouch (which shows some handling- and/or storage-age and minor tears but that is still complete and functional (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and complete! - 'Ostvölker'-related medal that will be very hard to be upgraded!
