WH (Heeres, LW etc.): 'DAK' (ie. 'Deutsches Afrikakorps') 'Buntmetall'-based so-called: 'pith-helmet-shield (being a non-maker-marked example)
This is an attractive - and not that easily found! - I deem early-pattern, WH (Heeres, Luftwaffe etc.): 'DAK' (ie. 'Deutsches Afrikakorps') 'Buntmetall'-based so-called: 'pith-helmet' (national-colours) shield being a non-maker-marked example that still retains its three originally-mounted (and once bent but still functional) prongs and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly used- ie. once pith-helmet-attached-), condition. The - very detailed and/or pronounced - piece retains its three - original and fragile - pins in place. The black- and red-painted areas truly retain almost all of their original colour (as can be seen on the pictures). Actually, are these genuine pith-helmet shields - having all their original and/or undamaged prongs in place - not that easily encountered: even more so when they are executed in 'Buntmetall'-based metal. Simply a nice opportunity to acquire an original 'DAK' (ie. 'Afrikakorps') so-called 'pith-helmet'-shield for a justified price!
