This is a very attractive - and I deem simply never used! - example of a (typical) Waffen-SS-pattern, black-coloured- and/or (smooth) woolen-based, M43-cap-insignia (ie. 'Mützenabzeichen') depicting the famous: 'Edelweiss'-flower as was specifically used by the various 'SS-Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-troops-) related divisional-staff (such as those of the: 'Prinz Eugen'- ie. 'Skanderbeg'-SS-Divisions) and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The piece on offer here is a fully 'text-book'-example that comes in a very nice condition and that just shows some minimal fraying on its sides (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular piece originated from the US where it was recently found as such: it was brought-back as a war-souvenir as more often. Simply an attractive and naturally 100% original Waffen-SS arm-badge that almost certainly originated from the 'Dachau' clothing-depots and that will be impossible to be upgraded!
